Our Story

Wallaby Sports Blanket started on a cold, rainy soccer sideline in Michigan.

As a mom of three living with anemia, sitting outside in freezing weather for hours wasn't just uncomfortable — it was unbearable. So I did what any determined mom would do: I made my own solution. I designed a blanket that would keep me warm, dry, and comfortable no matter what the weather threw at me.

The first day I brought it to the soccer field, other moms came running. It was cozy, warm and, most important, it solved a very real problem.  But back in 2015, I wasn't ready to turn it into a business, it was just a way to stay warm while supporting my kids. The idea sat on the shelf... until it didn't.

Years later, friends at campgrounds and backyard gatherings kept asking where they could get one. I finally listened. I worked on designing an easily accessible camp chair blanket, with double breasted front panel access to keep you warm where you need it most.  It also wraps the entire chair, which keeps the cold from coming through the back and underneath, something standard blankets can't do.  Not only is it warm, it’s also wind and water resistant because we use 3M Thinsulate™ in the middle layer.  No more freezing on the sidelines!  It's also easy to keep clean, just throw it in the washer and dryer. This blanket works on most camp chairs and Adirondack chairs as well.

The creation of the camp chair blanket made me realize I needed something that worked for stadium seats, bleacher seats, or when you just don't want to sit.  So I started working on new designs, including a standard blanket, available in two sizes, small and large, and a stadium blanket — one that actually covers your lap and legs completely when you sit down, and the flap converts into a hood to keep you dry, unlike anything else out there.
